| Description | Materials in and about Uspanteko, a K'ichean-branch Mayan language of Guatemala. The materials reflect a range of different elicitation tasks aimed at the collection of data on word- and phrase-level prosody in the language, as well as more general documentation of Uspanteko language and culture. - 48 question answer pairs, balanced for broad and narrow focus prosody. Both questions and answers were read from a script. - Semi-structured narratives eliciated through storyboards. A speaker would page through a slide presentation with images that suggested a story, and narrate just such a story as the images appeared. Most participants narrated multiple storyboards, and so most sound files contain multiple narratives.
